In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 utilities applications in Brazil demonstrated diverse performance trends across key metrics such as downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed analysis of their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.
gov.br experienced significant growth in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 445K in late December 2022 and reaching a peak of around 1.25M in the week of March 6. The app also saw an increase in weekly active users, beginning the quarter with about 1.57M and peaking at 4.2M in the same week.
Google maintained a relatively stable download rate, fluctuating between 120K and 198K weekly downloads throughout the quarter. Active users showed minimal variation, hovering around 63M to 64M.
Carteira de Trabalho Digital saw a steady increase in downloads, starting from 336K in late December 2022 and peaking at 892K in early February. The app's active users also increased, beginning at about 3.95M and reaching around 6.47M by mid-March.
Google Chrome had consistent download numbers, ranging from 88K to 107K weekly downloads. The active user count remained stable around 110M, showing little fluctuation throughout the quarter.
Carteira Digital de Trânsito displayed modest download figures, with weekly downloads ranging from 244K to 354K. The active users metric also showed stability, with numbers around 5.2M to 6.3M.
