During the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 utilities applications in the United States showed varying trends in weekly downloads and active users. The data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers valuable insights into the performance of these apps on a unified platform.
Google saw a consistent number of weekly downloads, peaking at around 657K in the second week of January. The app maintained a relatively stable active user base, fluctuating between 75.6M and 76.3M throughout the quarter.
Google Chrome experienced a peak in downloads during the second week of January with approximately 437K. Active users remained steady, hovering around 142M for most of the quarter.
Microsoft Edge: AI Browser had a notable increase in downloads, reaching a high of 495K in the second week of February. Active users also grew steadily, starting at 3.7M in late December and climbing to over 5.1M by the end of March.
Xfinity recorded a significant surge in downloads at the end of February, reaching 330K. Active users saw an increase from 1.2M at the beginning of the quarter to 1.6M by early March.
T-Mobile had consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 127K to 157K. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 456K and 498K throughout the quarter.
