During the second quarter of 2023, the performance of the top 5 cryptocurrency apps on Android in Nigeria showcased diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Sensor Tower data provides an insightful overview of these metrics.
Fone Network AI, Earning, NFTs experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at around $272 in early May and later declining to $136 by the end of June. Weekly downloads saw a significant spike to 469 in late April, followed by a gradual decline to 139 in late June. Weekly active users also showed a downward trend, starting at 18.6K in late March and dropping to 13.5K by the end of June.
Cryptomania —Trading Simulator demonstrated strong performance in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 52.6K in early May before decreasing to 20.7K by the end of June. Weekly revenue fluctuated, peaking at $177 in early May and then falling to $94 in late June. The app maintained a high number of weekly active users, peaking at 128.8K in early May and ending the quarter with 81.3K.
CryptoTab Farm: Digital Gold showed a gradual decline in both weekly revenue and active users until mid-June, when there was a noticeable uptick. Weekly revenue peaked at $171 in mid-April and settled at $87 by late June. Weekly active users increased from 33 in mid-June to 443 by the end of the quarter. Downloads were mostly stagnant until a surge to 832 in mid-June.
22BT Coin Mining saw a significant increase in weekly downloads in early April, reaching 6.3K, before declining to negligible numbers by the end of June. Weekly revenue peaked at $56 in late March and gradually declined to $17 by the end of June.
AtlantisCEX had minimal weekly downloads, with the highest being 7 in mid-June. Weekly revenue showed minor fluctuations, peaking at $45 in early May and ending at $29 in late June.
