During Q2 2023, the top dragon-themed games on the Android platform in Germany showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how Call of Dragons, Dragonscapes Adventure, Merge Dragons!, Dragon City: Mobile Adventure, and Dragon Mania Legends performed.
Call of Dragons from FARLIGHT saw a notable peak in weekly revenue at approximately $100K in mid-April, followed by a gradual decline to around $54K by the end of June. Weekly downloads started strong with over 33K in late March but steadily decreased to roughly 1.2K by the end of the quarter. Active users also dropped from about 30.7K in early April to 5.6K by late June.
Dragonscapes Adventure maintained a relatively stable revenue, peaking at around $65K in late March and ending the quarter at about $38K. Weekly downloads experienced a significant drop from over 10K in mid-April to around 2.1K by the end of June. Active users saw a slight decrease from 33.5K in mid-April to 22.7K by the quarter's end.
Merge Dragons! by Zynga experienced consistent weekly revenue, averaging between $53K and $82K throughout the quarter. Downloads fluctuated slightly, with a peak of 5.6K in early April and a low of 2.9K in mid-June. Active users remained stable, hovering around 70K to 75K.
Dragon City: Mobile Adventure from Social Point showed a steady revenue trend, peaking at about $21K in early May and ending with around $14.6K by late June. Weekly downloads varied, with a notable peak of 5.9K in mid-April and a low of 2.8K at the end of June. Active users remained relatively high, averaging around 128K to 152K throughout the quarter.
Dragon Mania Legends by Gameloft SE had a stable revenue trend, with peaks around $15K in early April and ending at about $10K by late June. Downloads saw a significant fluctuation, peaking at 10.1K in late May and dropping to roughly 2.6K by the end of June. Active users ranged between 20K and 28K, with a peak in early June.
