In Q2 2023, the top five dating apps in Ecuador—Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date, Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date, Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat, Kismia - Meet Singles Nearby, and Badoo: Dating. Chat. Friends—showed varied performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Below are the key insights from Sensor Tower data.
Throughout Q2 2023, Tinder's weekly revenue showed a consistent upward trend, starting at around $4.2K in late March and peaking at approximately $4.9K in early June. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with noticeable peaks at 10.5K in early June. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 190K throughout the quarter.
Bumble experienced steady weekly revenue, hovering around $2.6K to $3K, with a peak of $3K at the end of May. Downloads saw a significant spike in mid-June, reaching nearly 2K. Active users increased gradually from approximately 21.8K in late March to around 24K by the end of June.
Grindr's weekly revenue varied, starting at $891 and reaching a peak of $1.4K at the end of June. Downloads were relatively stable, with a high of 2.2K in the last week of June. Active users showed a positive trend, increasing from 64K in late March to around 68K by the end of June.
Kismia's revenue saw a declining trend initially but recovered towards the end of the quarter, peaking at around $1.4K in the last week of June. Downloads hit a high of 12.4K in mid-June, and active users also surged significantly, reaching approximately 14.9K in the same period.
Badoo's weekly revenue ranged between $931 and $1.2K. Downloads decreased over the quarter, starting at 7K in early April and dropping to 2K by the end of June. Active users, however, remained robust, averaging around 100K, with a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.
