The third quarter of 2023 has been an eventful period for the leading dating apps on the Android platform in Kuwait. According to Sensor Tower data, the top 5 apps—Poppo live, Azar: Video Chat & Meet People, MIGO Live-Voice and Video Chat, Chamet - Live Video Chat, and OFO: Magmeet ng bagong friends—exhibited diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.
Poppo live from poppo team exhibited consistent growth in weekly revenue, starting at around $5.9K at the end of June and peaking at $9.3K in mid-August. Weekly downloads saw a gradual increase, reaching a peak of 3.3K by the end of September. Active users also showed a steady rise, from approximately 4.8K in late June to over 7K by the end of the quarter.
Hyperconnect LLC’s Azar app experienced fluctuations in revenue, with a notable peak of $18.6K in late August. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 2.3K to 2.7K throughout the quarter. Active users hovered around 13K to 14K, with a slight uptick to 14.2K at the end of September.
MIGO Live saw a significant increase in weekly revenue, particularly in mid-August, reaching approximately $1.1K. Downloads also improved, peaking at 2.1K in early September. The number of active users followed a similar trend, climbing from 2.5K in late June to a high of 3.5K in mid-September.
Chamet - Live Video Chat from the Chamet Team demonstrated strong revenue performance, peaking at $23K in mid-July. However, weekly downloads saw a decline from 3.4K in early July to just under 1.2K by the end of September. Active users also decreased, dropping from around 12K to 7.4K over the quarter.
OFO: Magmeet ng bagong friends, a newer entrant, showed promising growth. Weekly revenue increased modestly, reaching $242 by the end of September. Downloads fluctuated, with a high of 2.8K in early September. Active users grew significantly from 637 in mid-July to over 4.7K by mid-September.
