In the third quarter of 2023, the top 5 shopping apps on the Android platform in Brazil showed varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here's a closer look at each app's metrics:
SHEIN-Shopping Online saw its downloads peak at around 1.05M during the week of August 28, after a steady climb from early August. However, weekly active users experienced a slight decline from approximately 14.2M at the beginning of the quarter to around 13.1M by the end.
Shopee: 8.8 Liquidação demonstrated a notable increase in downloads, reaching about 814K in the week of September 4. Concurrently, weekly active users climbed from approximately 19.1M in late June to around 21.3M by the end of September.
Mercado Libre: Compras online maintained a consistent download rate, fluctuating around 300K each week, with a slight peak at 325K in the final week of September. Weekly active users hovered around 16.8M throughout the quarter, showing minor fluctuations.
Magalu: loja e compras online experienced a steady increase in downloads, peaking at approximately 305K in the week of September 4. The app's weekly active users also saw a rise from roughly 4.5M in late June to around 4.9M by early September, before a slight dip towards the end of the quarter.
Amazon Shopping showed significant growth in downloads, reaching around 386K in mid-July. Revenue peaked at approximately $38K in the week of September 11. Weekly active users rose from about 3.4M in late June to around 4.3M by mid-July, stabilizing at around 3.6M towards the end of September.
