Top 5 Social Apps on Android in Russia Q3 2023

The third quarter of 2023 saw significant activity among the top social apps on Android in Russia. According to Sensor Tower, the performance metrics for Likee - Short Video Community, TikTok, VK: music, video, messenger, TikTok Lite - Save Data, and VK Messenger: Chats and calls exhibited various trends in downloads and active users.

Likee - Short Video Community maintained a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 264K in the third week of July. However, its weekly active users saw a slight decline from around 10.3M to 9.8M by the end of September.

TikTok experienced a gradual decrease in weekly downloads, starting from around 178K in early July and ending at approximately 169K in the last week of September. Its weekly active users also showed a downward trend, dropping from 27.1M to 25.9M throughout the quarter.

VK: music, video, messenger had relatively stable weekly downloads, fluctuating around the 160K mark. The app's weekly active users remained consistently high, ranging from 66M to 68M during this period.

TikTok Lite - Save Data saw a notable rise in weekly downloads, especially in the week of August 21, reaching approximately 193K. However, its weekly active users showed a slight decline from 2.7M to 2.5M by the end of September.

VK Messenger: Chats and calls observed a significant increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 377K in late August. Its weekly active users also saw a positive trend, growing from 1.7M to 2M over the quarter.
