During the third quarter of 2023, Belgium's iOS platform saw some interesting trends among the top MMORPG apps, as tracked by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at how these apps performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
DOFUS Touch: A WAKFU Prequel experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, starting at approximately $1.3K in late June and tapering off to around $313 by the end of September. Downloads showed a slight increase mid-quarter, peaking at 150 in the week of August 21, before declining to 80 by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 1K throughout the period.
Old School RuneScape maintained a consistent performance in terms of revenue, with figures oscillating between $320 and $559. Downloads peaked at 180 in the week of July 31 but later settled to around 90 by the end of September. Weekly active users saw a noticeable rise in late July, reaching 774, before stabilizing around 600-700.
RuneScape showed a varied revenue trend, with notable peaks at $1.5K in early July and $1.8K in late July, before dropping to $189 by the end of September. Downloads saw a significant increase in August, peaking at 246, but later declined to 51. Weekly active users peaked at 398 in late August, with a subsequent decline to around 235 by the end of the quarter.
The Legend of Neverland showed a consistent revenue stream, generally ranging between $88 and $287 throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at 54 in the weeks of July 24 and September 25. The app maintained a steady weekly active user base, fluctuating around 350-400.
Dragon Trail 2: Fantasy World had a notable revenue peak of $1.4K at the start of the quarter, which then stabilized around $200-300. Downloads saw a peak of 75 in July, but later settled around 20-30. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations between 150 and 230.
