In the third quarter of 2023, the top health and fitness apps in Ireland showed diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Below is an analysis of the performance of these leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter demonstrated a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $26.5K at the end of June. Revenue saw a slight dip to around $23.1K in mid-August before settling at about $24K by September's end. Downloads ranged from 2.3K in late June to around 2.2K in late September, with a notable dip to 1.9K in late August. Active users experienced a gradual decline from 147.7K in late June to 133.5K by the end of September.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike saw a significant spike in weekly revenue, peaking at $24.5K in late July, before declining to around $12.9K by the end of September. Downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 1.5K and 2.1K throughout the quarter. Active users maintained a consistent range, peaking at 51K in mid-August and ending the quarter at approximately 48.3K.
Fitbit: Health & Fitness experienced a peak in weekly revenue at $34.5K in late June, followed by a decrease to around $14.9K in mid-September, and then an increase to $18.7K by the end of September. Downloads fluctuated slightly, with a high of 1.9K in early August and a low of 1.5K in mid-September. Active users showed a downward trend, starting at 107K in mid-July and ending the quarter at approximately 93.2K.
Flo Period & Pregnancy Tracker saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, starting at $9.4K in late June and peaking at $12.8K in mid-September, before slightly dropping to $10.5K by the end of the quarter. Downloads showed an upward trend, reaching 2.5K in mid-September from 1.6K in late August. Active users remained stable, hovering around 77.7K throughout the quarter.
Calm experienced a gradual increase in weekly revenue, starting at $9.4K in late June and peaking at $12K in early September, before slightly declining to $9.9K by the end of September. Downloads showed a slight increase from 1K in late June to 1.6K in mid-August, before stabilizing around 1.2K in late September. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 17.6K in early September and ending the quarter at approximately 15.7K.
