In the fourth quarter of 2023, the crime game genre continued to capture the attention of Android users in the United States. Data from Sensor Tower reveals the performance of the top five crime games during this period.
June's Journey: Hidden Objects, published by Wooga, showed a revenue trend that fluctuated across the quarter, peaking at around $1M in late October and then gradually decreasing to $737K by the year's end. Downloads for the game saw an uptick in December, reaching 24K, while weekly active users slightly increased from 200K in late September to over 201K by Christmas.
The Grand Mafia, from Phantix Games, experienced revenue that varied, hitting highs of $379K in mid-October and late November, and closing the quarter at $373K. Downloads peaked at nearly 24K in the final week of December, and weekly active users rose from 24K to 37K over the quarter, indicating a growing player base.
Another title from Phantix Games, Mafia City, showed revenue oscillating between $251K and $307K, with a closing figure of $254K in the last week of December. The game's downloads reached a peak of nearly 15K in the same period, while weekly active users demonstrated a gradual increase from 68K to 74K towards the quarter's end.
Playrix's Manor Matters depicted a revenue trend with minor fluctuations, ranging between $74K and $102K. Downloads saw a significant jump to 4.8K in November, followed by a decrease to 2K by the year's end. Weekly active users showed an increase from 138K to 141K from September to December.
Lastly, City of Crime: Gang Wars by FingerFun Limited had its revenue peak at $64K in late November, with a noticeable growth to $63K in the final week of the year. Downloads had a high of 19K in late November but dropped to 5.5K by Christmas. The game's weekly active users saw a rise from 144K to 163K in November, before decreasing to 130K at the end of December.
