As the year 2023 came to a close, the performance of dating applications on the Android platform in Brazil provided interesting insights into user preferences and engagement. Sensor Tower has compiled the data, presenting a clear picture of how these apps fared in the fourth quarter.
iwee - Live Video Chat observed a fluctuation in downloads, starting at approximately 131K in the last week of September and declining to around 62K by the end of December. Weekly active users, however, showed a more positive trend, starting from 336K and increasing to 378K in the same period.
Tinder Dating app. Meet People maintained its popularity with significant revenue peaking at over $200K in the final week of December. Downloads saw a slight dip from around 103K to 86K, but weekly active users remained robust, starting at 4.42M and ending the quarter at 4.41M.
Badoo: Dating. Chat. Meet. showed a consistent revenue with a notable increase from $38K to $46K by the end of Q4. Downloads peaked in early October at approximately 97K before settling around 90K towards the end of December. The app's active users saw an uptrend from 3.49M to 3.86M.
The newcomer Timo Club demonstrated growth in the Brazilian market. Revenue climbed from $1.2K to $4.3K, while downloads showed an impressive increase from around 44K to 80K. Weekly active users had a positive trajectory, starting at 40K and rising to 96K.
Lastly, Litmatch—Make new friends revealed a steady increase in downloads from approximately 45K to 64K. Weekly active users witnessed a rise from 68K to around 78K, indicating a growing community on the platform.
