With the fourth quarter of 2023 behind us, Sensor Tower provides a glimpse into the performance of the top insurance applications on the Android platform across Australia. The data reveals interesting trends in downloads and weekly active users, offering a snapshot of user preferences and app activity.

The My NRMA app experienced fluctuating download numbers starting with 2K in the last week of September and reaching a peak of nearly 3K in the first week of October. The trend showed a general increase, peaking at 2.3K in the first week of December before dipping to 1.6K by the year's end. Weekly active users mirrored this trend with a high of nearly 5K in early October and ending the quarter with 3.7K active users.

AAMI App downloads saw a notable spike in mid-October with 3.5K, contrasting with its otherwise steady performance averaging around 1.5K downloads weekly. The app's download trend saw slight increases and decreases throughout the quarter but ended slightly lower than its starting point.

NRMA Insurance presented a relatively stable pattern in downloads, beginning the quarter with 814 and ending with 450. The most significant jump occurred in the first week of December, where downloads surged to 1.5K.

For ahm, downloads began at 740 and saw minor fluctuations over the quarter. The app faced a decreasing trend in the last month, with downloads dropping to 391 by the final week of December.

Lastly, the Youi app showed a relatively consistent download pattern, hovering around the mid-400s for most of the quarter. However, there was a decline in the latter part of December, with downloads falling to 290.
