As the year 2023 drew to a close, the performance of insurance applications on the Android platform in the United Kingdom revealed interesting trends in user engagement and app popularity. Sensor Tower provides an in-depth look at the top five insurance applications, shedding light on their quarterly performance in terms of downloads and weekly active users.
Hastings Direct Insurance experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads, starting the quarter with approximately 12K downloads and ending with around 6K. Weekly active users followed a decreasing trend, from around 24K in the last week of September to 19K by the end of December.
Admiral Insurance also saw a decline in downloads, beginning the quarter with about 6K and declining to 4K by Christmas week. Their active users peaked at 32K in November before a slight drop to approximately 28K active users by the quarter's end.
Cuvva displayed a more stable pattern, with downloads hovering around 4-5K throughout the quarter. This app's weekly active users showed an upward trend, from roughly 8K at the start of the quarter to a peak of around 9K in mid-December.
MyAviva downloads remained quite steady, with a slight increase from 4K to almost 5K in early November, followed by a decrease to 3.6K by the end of December. Weekly active users were consistent, starting at about 12K and ending the quarter with a similar figure.
Bupa Touch saw a significant spike in downloads in the third week of November, jumping to nearly 5K from an average of around 2K. However, the app ended the quarter with a dip to around 2K downloads. The data for weekly active users was not provided.
