In the fourth quarter of 2023, the Lifestyle category on the Android platform saw varying performances among its top applications in the United States. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at the downloads, revenue, and active users for these leading apps.
Pinterest showed an upward trend in downloads starting from 88K in late September to a peak of 125K in early November, before closing the quarter with 106K. The app's weekly active users also reflected growth, starting at 14M and rising to 15M by the end of December.
Life360: Live Location Sharing demonstrated a consistent performance in revenue, with notable figures like $653K at the beginning of the quarter and ending with $648K in the last week of December. Downloads for Life360 reached a high of 101K in late November, while weekly active users peaked at 11M in mid-November before dipping to 10.5M by the quarter's end.
Amazon Alexa, while not generating revenue, saw an increase in downloads with a significant jump to 132K in the festive week of December. Active users for Alexa fluctuated, reaching a high of 1.5M in late November and maintaining a strong user base throughout the quarter.
Cash Giraffe - Play and earn had its download numbers oscillate, with an initial 66K downloads in late September, a dip to 52K in late October, and a rebound to 75K by the year's end. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 98K, dropping to 87K in late October, and rising again to 101K in the final week of 2023.
Lastly, Ring - Always Home experienced a surge in downloads during the holiday season, with numbers increasing from 48K in late September to 89K in the last week of December. The app's active user base remained above 3M throughout the quarter, peaking at 3.4M in mid-December.
