Interactive story games continue to engage users on the iOS platform, and Sensor Tower has the latest data on how these apps fared in the United States during the fourth quarter of 2023. Here's a snapshot of the trends seen in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for the top five titles.
Episode - Choose Your Story from Episode Interactive showed a robust quarter with revenue peaking at around $514K in the final week of December. Downloads saw a significant jump, nearly doubling to 96K in the same period, while weekly active users surged to 176K.
Crazy Maple Studio, Inc.'s Chapters: Interactive Stories also experienced a strong quarter, especially in revenue, which climbed to nearly $278K by December's end. Downloads increased to 23K, and active users reached a high of 108K in the last week of the quarter.
Choices: Stories You Play by Pixelberry Studios saw a steadier trend, with revenue hovering around $108K towards the close of December. The game maintained a consistent download rate, ending the quarter with over 6K new installs, and weekly active users peaked at 97K.
PlayMe Studio's MeChat - Interactive Stories generated around $113K in revenue by the end of December, with downloads reaching 32K. The game's active user base showed a positive curve, ending at about 59K active users.
Finally, Love Island: The Game by Fusebox Games, based in the United Kingdom, also made its mark with revenue hitting over $65K. Downloads for the quarter peaked at 11K, and weekly active users grew to over 28K by the year's end.
