The fourth quarter of 2023 has seen some intriguing trends among the top MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) games on the iOS platform in the United States. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at how these games performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Supercell's Brawl Stars, hailing from Finland, showed a significant increase in revenue, starting at around $447K in late September and peaking at over $1.1M during the Christmas week. Downloads followed a similar upward trend, with approximately 41K in the last week of September, surging to over 113K by the year's end. Weekly active users also grew substantially, from 1.8M to over 3.1M in the same period.

From Japan, The Pokemon Company's Pokémon UNITE experienced a more modest revenue increment, beginning at roughly $49K and ending the quarter at $64K. Downloads remained relatively stable, with an initial 18K downloads in late September and closing at around 19K in the final week of December. The game's weekly active users saw a slight increase from 138K to 159K by the close of the quarter.

Shanghai Moonton Technology's Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, a product of China, also saw fluctuations in its revenue, starting at around $361K and finishing at $472K. Download figures showed less volatility, hovering around 13K at both the start and end of the quarter. The active user base saw a dip in November but recovered to around 251K by the end of December.

Another U.S. contender, Riot Games' League of Legends: Wild Rift, saw its revenue peak in late November at $417K, with a subsequent decline to $171K by year-end. The game maintained a steady download rate, starting and ending the quarter with around 12K downloads. Weekly active users were consistent, starting at 172K and ending at 199K.

Lastly, Arena of Valor, also from China, presented by Level Infinite, showed a modest revenue pattern, starting at $8.7K and ending at $12.9K. The game's downloads began at approximately 5.8K and saw a slight increase to 4.8K by the end of December. Weekly active users showed a small but steady increase from 36K to 33K throughout the quarter.
