The fourth quarter of 2023 saw notable trends in the performance of the top five paid games on the iOS platform in the United States. Data from Sensor Tower reveals interesting insights into downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for these popular titles.
Mojang's Minecraft had a remarkable quarter. Revenue peaked at approximately $817K in the last week of December. Downloads fluctuated but saw a significant rise to around 62K in the same period. Weekly active users were strong, reaching nearly 7M in the final week of the quarter.
Ninja Kiwi's Bloons TD 6 showed consistent performance. Revenue was highest in the last week of December at about $162K. Downloads saw an uptick towards the end of the quarter, reaching over 10K. Weekly active users maintained a stable presence, peaking at 171K in mid-December.
Warner Bros.' Heads Up! experienced a surge in revenue, particularly in late December, hitting around $305K. Downloads mirrored this trend, climbing to approximately 20K in the last week. Weekly active users also saw growth, peaking at nearly 26K by the end of the quarter.
Scopely's Dice With Buddies: Social Game had steady revenue, with a notable peak of around $100K in late November. Downloads showed modest increases, with a high of about 2.5K in early December. Weekly active users grew to 8.5K by early December but slightly tapered off towards the end of the quarter.
Clickteam's Five Nights at Freddy's saw significant revenue spikes, especially around Halloween, peaking at approximately $129K in late October. Downloads also surged in this period, reaching over 18K in early November. Weekly active users hit their highest at around 74K in mid-November.
