As the year 2023 came to a close, the Utilities category on the iOS platform saw significant activity among its top applications in the United States. Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at how these apps performed in terms of downloads and weekly active users.
Google saw its downloads fluctuate across the quarter, starting at 604K in the last week of September and dipping to 489K by the end of December. Weekly active users remained strong, beginning at 9.4M and showing a slight decrease to 9.5M during the same period.
Similarly, Google Chrome experienced a fairly stable download count, hovering around the mid-300K mark, with occasional peaks and troughs such as the rise to 371K in late October and a fall to 314K in mid-December. Active users stayed above the 10.7M line, with a minor uptick to 10.8M in mid-November.
For TV Remote - Universal Control by EVOLLY.APP, the downloads saw a peak of 182K in the week of November 20, with the quarter starting at 137K. Revenue for this app showed a high of 143K USD in the same peak week. Active users saw a significant jump from 184K to 231K in November, ending the quarter at 208K.
Google Authenticator witnessed a notable increase in downloads from 101K to 161K in late October, followed by a gradual decrease to 92K by the year's end. The app's active users peaked at 670K in early December before dropping to 539K.
Lastly, My Verizon started the quarter with over 106K downloads and saw a significant spike to 160K in the week of November 20. Weekly active users showed an overall increase from 734K to 792K through the quarter.
