Q4 2023 Performance of Top UK Food Delivery Apps on Unified Platforms

As the year 2023 came to a close, the UK food delivery app industry witnessed various shifts in user engagement and app popularity. Here, we delve into the performance of the top five food delivery services on unified platforms, as reported by Sensor Tower.

The Too Good To Go: End Food Waste app saw fluctuations in its downloads, starting at roughly 71K in the last week of September and peaking at 91K in mid-October. Downloads then followed a decreasing trend to around 41K by the year's end. Weekly active users also decreased from approximately 817K to 535K during the quarter.

For Just Eat - Food Delivery, downloads showed an upward trend, starting at about 50K and rising to nearly 67K by the end of December. Weekly active users experienced a peak of around 1.3M in late November, with a slight dip to about 1.25M by the end of the quarter.

Deliveroo: Food Delivery App maintained a relatively stable download rate, starting at approximately 52K and ending the quarter at around 54K, despite some fluctuations. Weekly active users saw a decline from 2M to 1.7M over the three-month period.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced a decrease in downloads from 55K to around 53K, with a noticeable dip to 43K in late November. The app's weekly active users saw a significant drop from 2.65M to 2.39M in the last quarter of 2023.

Lastly, HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery showed a decline in download numbers, starting at 25K and reducing to just over 10K by the Christmas week. Weekly active users for the app also declined from roughly 158K in September to about 141K by the end of December.
