As the year 2023 wound down, puzzle and riddle game enthusiasts in the United Kingdom engaged with their favorite brain teasers on both iOS and Android platforms. Sensor Tower's data offers a glimpse into the performance of the top five applications in this category during the fourth quarter.
Brain Test: Tricky Puzzles saw a fluctuating trend in downloads starting with approximately 27K in the last week of September and peaking at nearly 48K during the Christmas week. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, starting at around 173K and increasing to approximately 228K by the end of December. Revenue for the app started at about $1.5K and saw a dip before rising to about $1.6K in the final week of the quarter.
Lion Studios Plus's Family Tree! - Logic Puzzles experienced a decrease in downloads from around 63K to 9K, with weekly active users declining from about 69K to 32K by year's end. Revenue trends also showed a decline from roughly $2.5K to $767.
Braindom 3: Smart, Brain Games presented a downward trend in both downloads and weekly active users, with downloads starting at about 3.5K and ending at 2K, and active users decreasing from approximately 8.7K to 6.3K. Revenue showed a decline from $527 to $236.
Flashback: Tricky Fun Riddles saw an initial drop in downloads from around 7.7K to 4.9K, then rose back up to nearly 9.8K. Weekly active users started at about 31K and ended the quarter at around 34K. Revenue for the game showed an overall increase from $284 to $437.
Lastly, Brain Test 4: Tricky Friends experienced a significant increase in downloads from 5.7K to nearly 25K, with weekly active users growing from around 46K to 77.5K. The revenue also increased from $445 to $548 during the quarter.
