As the year 2023 drew to a close, turn-based tactics games continued to engage players across Latin America. Sensor Tower's latest data reveals interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for the top games in the genre.
SQUARE ENIX's FINAL FANTASY BE:WOTV saw a fluctuating quarter, with weekly revenue peaking at $11K in early December, while downloads showed an unusual spike of 200K in early October. Weekly active users reached a high of 253K in the same month, but ended the quarter with 94K active users.
Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus by Snowprint Studios AB experienced a rise in revenue towards the end of the quarter, hitting nearly $8K in the last week of December. Downloads for the game peaked at over 2K in the same period, and the game maintained a steady base of around 16K active users throughout the quarter.
For Playgendary Limited's Bowmasters - Multiplayer Game, the quarter was marked with high download numbers, reaching up to 342K in early October. Revenue remained consistent, with a slight increase to $4K in the last week of December. Active users saw a notable increase, rising to over 1.6M by the quarter's end.
The DDTank Mobile game from 7road International HK Limited showed a dip in downloads mid-quarter, but ended with a modest 757K in the last week of December. Revenue exhibited a high of $4.7K in early December, with weekly active users decreasing to 3K by the quarter's end.
Lastly, Phobies Holdings Inc.'s Phobies saw its revenue grow to $4K in the last week of December. Downloads saw a significant rise, reaching 5.6K in the same period, while active users surged to 8K, marking a strong finish to the quarter.
