In the fourth quarter of 2023, the wellness app market in the United States saw significant activity among the top contenders. Sensor Tower provided insights into the performance of these leading applications, highlighting their downloads, revenues, and weekly active users.

Calm, a stalwart in the wellness space, showcased consistent revenue, peaking at nearly $1M in mid-November. Downloads for Calm soared to 95K during the Christmas week, while weekly active users reached a high of 1.5M in early October, before stabilizing around 1.4M towards the end of the year.

Headspace: Sleep & Meditation also demonstrated a strong performance, with revenues reaching over $400K in the last week of December. The app's downloads appeared more modest, with a peak at 28K in late September. Active users fluctuated, with a high of nearly 600K in late October.

BetterSleep: Relax and Sleep from Canada made its mark with revenues climbing to $255K in late October. The app's downloads surged to over 157K in the last week of December, while active users showed a notable increase, ending the year at approximately 696K.

The ShutEye®: Sleep Tracker, Sound app observed a revenue uptick, reaching $338K in the third week of December. Downloads for ShutEye® experienced a significant jump, hitting 251K in the same period. Active users grew steadily, peaking at 358K by the year's end.

Lastly, Hatch Sleep recorded a revenue high of $245K in late November. Downloads saw a massive increase to 90K during the Christmas week, and weekly active users reached an impressive 926K towards the end of December.
