In the first quarter of 2024, Oman saw significant activity in the dating app market on the Android platform. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top 5 dating apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.
SUGO:Voice Live Chat Party by IndiaMasterApp showed a mixed trend. Weekly revenue peaked at around $2.9K in early January but saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, settling at approximately $1.8K in the last week of March. Downloads started strong, reaching 3K in the week of February 5, before declining to just over 1K by the end of March. Active users increased steadily to 5K in mid-February but dropped to about 3.5K by the quarter's close.
MIGO Live-Voice and Video Chat from MIGO LIVE experienced fluctuations in both revenue and user activity. Revenue peaked at $1.1K in mid-January but decreased to around $394 by the end of March. Downloads were highest at the start of the year with 3.4K but dropped significantly mid-quarter before rebounding to 925 in the last week of March. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 4.8K in early January, declining mid-quarter, and then increasing to roughly 2K by the end of March.
Live Video Call - Global Call by Term Spark, a newer entrant, showed promising download numbers despite no reported revenue. Downloads peaked at 2.3K in the week of January 22 but declined sharply to just 127 by early March.
OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative from Video Chat Alternative had a steady performance in terms of downloads and active users. Downloads peaked at 1.1K in mid-January and gradually decreased to 599 by the end of March. Revenue was minimal, peaking at $70 in early March. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 4.2K and ending the quarter at 4.5K.
SayHi Chat Meet Dating People by UNearby saw consistent revenue and user engagement throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue hovered around $4.5K in January, with slight fluctuations, ending at $2.8K in the last week of March. Downloads remained steady, averaging around 800-900 per week initially and then decreasing slightly towards the end. Active users were consistently high, starting at 12K and maintaining near this level throughout the quarter, with a small dip to 10.2K in mid-March before ending at 11.3K.
