In the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 insurance apps on the Android platform in Australia showcased varied performance trends in downloads and active users. This data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a comprehensive look at how these apps are faring in the competitive insurance market.
My NRMA had a fluctuating download trend, starting the quarter with 1.8K downloads and peaking at 2.7K in the week of February 26. Weekly active users also grew steadily from 4K in early January to around 4.8K by the end of February, before slightly dropping to 4K in late March.
The Suncorp Insurance App experienced a significant spike in downloads, especially in the week of March 4 with nearly 7.9K downloads. However, it saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, finishing with 886 downloads in the last week of March. Unfortunately, active user data for the app is not available.
My Medibank also showed a steady download rate, starting at 1.2K and reaching up to 1.8K in late January. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 6.3K in early January to 7.1K in mid-March, before decreasing to 6.7K by the end of the quarter.
The AAMI App saw moderate download activity, starting at 1.7K and peaking at 2.3K in the week of March 4. Downloads then tapered off to 1.3K by the end of the quarter. Active user data for this app is not available.
nib Health maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, starting at 1.3K and ending with just over 1K downloads in the last week of March. Active user data for this app is also not available.
