In the first quarter of 2024, the UK's Android platform saw notable activity among top MMORPG applications. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, presents a clear picture of how these games fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Diablo Immortal experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, peaking at around $18K and dipping to as low as $9K. Downloads for the game saw a significant spike in the last week of March, reaching 840, while weekly active users showed an upward trend, ending the quarter at approximately 7K.
Jagex Games Studio's Old School RuneScape also saw a mixed revenue pattern, with highs of $16K and lows around $10K. The game's downloads hit a peak of 1K in mid-January, while active users saw a high of 6.5K in the same period.
The newer title, RuneScape - Fantasy MMORPG, showed a revenue range between $4K and $10K. Downloads remained relatively steady, with a notable increase to 329 in the third week of March. Active user count remained consistent, with a slight rise towards the end of the quarter, reaching over 1.7K.
For MU: Dragon Havoc, revenues started at about $7.6K and saw a decline to around $2.7K before slightly recovering to $4K. Downloads showed modest fluctuations, maintaining numbers in the low hundreds. Weekly active users hovered around 1.8K throughout the quarter.
Lastly, The Legend of Neverland exhibited a revenue trend starting near $6.5K, dipping to $3K, and then rebounding to $3.7K. Downloads peaked at 965 in mid-February, while active users showed a peak of 3.8K in the second week of March.
