The first quarter of 2024 has been an interesting period for cat-themed mobile games in the United States. Among the top performers on unified platforms, we've seen varying trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.
My Talking Tom 2 by Outfit7 Limited showed a decrease in weekly revenue from $2.05M at the start of January to $1.34M by the end of March. Downloads dipped from 129K to 95K, while weekly active users saw a slight decline from 875K to 789K.
Outfit7 Limited's My Talking Angela 2 also experienced a drop in revenue, beginning the quarter at $2.49M and ending at $1.28M. The game's downloads decreased from 100K to 82K, with weekly active users going from 413K down to 361K.
Another game from the same publisher, My Talking Tom Friends, showed a more varied revenue trend, peaking at $10.32M in mid-February before settling at $8.09M by the quarter's end. Downloads started at 80K and had a slight rise to 68K. Weekly active users showed a small decrease from 668K to 623K.
My Talking Tom saw revenue fluctuate, with an initial $550K in the first week of January and a surge to $758K in the last week of March. The game's downloads showed a steady decline from 64K to 52K, while weekly active users had a moderate fluctuation, ending at 729K from an initial 761K.
Lastly, Amanotes Pte. Ltd.'s Duet Cats : Cat Cute Games started the quarter with a revenue of $2.35M, which then fell to $452K. Downloads saw a decline from 88K to 64K. In contrast, weekly active users increased from 785K in the first week of January to 772K by the end of March.
