During the first quarter of 2024, the top five dating apps in the United Kingdom—Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet, Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date, Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date, OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative, and Yubo : Make friends, live chat—exhibited distinct trends in their weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at around $380K in early February before settling at approximately $354K by the end of March. Weekly downloads for Hinge remained relatively stable, with a slight decline from 35K to 28K over the quarter. Active users showed a minor decrease, ending the quarter with nearly 696K active users.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date experienced a consistent revenue stream, reaching nearly $485K in early February and closing the quarter at around $445K. Weekly downloads for Bumble decreased from 33K to 27K. Active users also showed a downward trend, dropping from 756K to 677K by the end of March.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date maintained its lead in revenue, hitting a high of approximately $749K in mid-February and ending the quarter at around $690K. Weekly downloads for Tinder decreased from 32K to 25K, and active users also saw a decline from 1.07M to 946K.
OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative showed modest revenue growth, peaking at roughly $25K in mid-March. Downloads for OmeTV were stable, hovering around 23K to 31K throughout the quarter. Active users for OmeTV increased steadily, ending the quarter with about 136K users.
Yubo : Make friends, live chat saw its revenue rise significantly, reaching nearly $124K in the last week of March. Weekly downloads for Yubo showed minimal fluctuation, averaging around 18K. Active users for Yubo displayed some volatility, ultimately closing the quarter with approximately 182K users.
