In the first quarter of 2024, the Hack and Slash category saw some interesting trends in the United States. Sensor Tower's data gives us a closer look at the performance of the top five applications in this genre.
MARVEL Future Fight by Netmarble Corporation showed a fluctuating revenue trend, peaking at $234K in the last week of March. Downloads spiked to 88K in the last week of January and weekly active users reached a high of 155K in the same period.
Honkai Impact 3rd, from miHoYo Limited, had its revenue rise to $244K in early March. The game maintained a steady download rate, peaking at 7K in the final week of February, while active users hovered around 74K to 77K during the quarter.
YunChang Games' Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat launched in January and saw an impressive start with revenue reaching $333K in its first week. Downloads initially soared to 295K but gradually settled, and weekly active users started at 286K, eventually stabilizing around 102K by the end of March.
Punishing: Gray Raven by KURO TECHNOLOGY (HONG KONG) CO., LIMITED had a significant revenue jump to $305K in the last week of February. Downloads showed an uptick in mid-February with 6.7K, and the active user base peaked at 17K in the same month.
Lastly, Dynasty Legends 2 from Taihe Interactive exhibited a revenue increase in early February, hitting $132K. The game saw a notable download peak of 2.2K in mid-February, with active users reaching a high of 8.7K in the same week.
