Interactive story games have seen varied performance in the first quarter of 2024. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look at how five leading titles have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
Crazy Maple Studio's Chapters: Interactive Stories saw a slight decrease in weekly revenue, starting at $469K and dipping to $453K by the end of the quarter. Downloads began at 33K and showed a downward trend, finishing at 24K. Weekly active users also dropped from 156K to 136K.
Episode - Choose Your Story by Episode Interactive experienced a more noticeable decline in revenue from $565K to $380K. Downloads decreased from 100K to 56K, while active users fell from 277K to 191K.
INFOLD PTE. LTD.'s newcomer, Love and Deepspace, launched mid-January and quickly generated significant revenue, peaking at $755K before settling at $102K. Downloads spiked at 209K, then gradually decreased to 12K, with active users mirroring this pattern, starting strong at 280K and descending to 119K.
MeChat - Interactive Stories from PlayMe Studio showed a steady revenue pattern, starting at $215K and ending the quarter at $157K. Downloads saw a late-quarter surge from 29K to 38K, while weekly active users saw a slight uptick from 72K to 87K.
Lastly, Choices: Stories You Play by Pixelberry Studios maintained a relatively stable revenue, hovering around $150K to $170K. Downloads remained modest, from 13K to 7K, and active users showcased a mid-quarter dip and recovery, from 167K to 114K.
