Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for these top budgeting and planning tools.
EveryDollar: Personal Budget experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, starting strong at $133K and peaking at $251K before settling at $211K in the last week of March. Downloads for the app showed a gradual decrease from 58K to 30K, while weekly active users dwindled from 382K to 351K.
Rocket Money - Bills & Budgets also saw a varied revenue pattern, initially at $205K, dipping to $147K, and recovering to $209K. Downloads decreased sharply from 563K to 140K over the quarter. Weekly active users started at 2.2M, decreasing to 1.8M by the end of March.
YNAB had a revenue journey starting at $186K, with a dip to $114K, and a slight rise to $153K. Downloads for YNAB were relatively stable, hovering around the 12K to 13K mark, while weekly active users saw a modest decrease from 121K to 114K.
Monarch: Budget & Track Money showed consistent growth in revenue, from $79K to $117K. Downloads saw a spike from 23K to 19K in early March and then stabilized. Weekly active user data was not available for Monarch.
Splitwise observed a revenue trend with minor fluctuations, beginning at $37K and ending the quarter stronger at $44K. Downloads for Splitwise were consistent, with a slight increase from 29K to 36K. Weekly active users ranged from 124K to 122K, showing stability in user engagement.
