The first quarter of 2024 witnessed significant activity among the top 5 puzzle games in the United States, with notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement. Here’s a closer look at how each game performed.
Wood Nuts & Bolts Puzzle from ABI GLOBAL LTD. saw a consistent rise in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $241K in late February. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of 531K in late January, while weekly active users increased steadily from 603K to nearly 1.1M by the end of March.
Block Blast! by Hungry Studio maintained a strong weekly download rate, starting at 463K and ending the quarter at 317K. The game also had a robust active user base, which peaked at nearly 1.9M in mid-February before slightly declining to 1.7M by the end of March.
Twisted Tangle from Rollic Games experienced significant growth in weekly revenue, starting at $183K and peaking at around $614K by the end of February. However, weekly downloads saw a downward trend, dropping from 380K in early January to 77K by the end of March. Active users also decreased from 614K to 381K over the quarter.

Lastly, Wordscapes by PeopleFun, Inc. remained a strong performer with a high and relatively stable weekly revenue, around $930K in early January, and ending the quarter at $897K. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a peak of 274K in early January and ending at 264K. Active users saw slight variations, maintaining around 2.7M throughout the quarter.
