Threads by Instagram, Inc. saw a varied pattern in weekly downloads. Starting strong with around 31.5K downloads in the first week of January, the app experienced a dip mid-quarter to about 16K in early February, but ended the quarter on a high note with nearly 25.7K downloads in the final week of March. The weekly active users of Threads also saw a steady increase, beginning at roughly 111.8K and peaking at approximately 210.6K by the end of March.
WhatsApp Messenger, from WhatsApp Inc., maintained a consistent performance in downloads, starting at around 16.9K and spiking at 26.9K in late January. The active user base was remarkably stable, hovering around 3.3M throughout the quarter, with a slight fluctuation.
Telegram Messenger by Telegram FZ-LLC showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, from approximately 11.8K at the start of January to about 11.6K at the end of March. Revenue trends were relatively stable, with the highest weekly revenue recorded at $3.5K in mid-February. Active users for Telegram also increased, starting at 523.8K and peaking at 592.5K in mid-March.
Google Meet, developed by Google, demonstrated moderate but consistent growth in weekly downloads, beginning with 3.6K and reaching up to 8.9K by the end of January. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 63.9K and peaking at 77.1K in mid-March.
Lastly, Facebook from Meta Platforms, Inc., showed variable weekly downloads, starting at 9.3K and experiencing a significant increase to 17.5K in early March. Revenue trends were also notable, with the highest weekly revenue recorded at $20.8K in early January. The active user base remained robust, starting at 2.5M and maintaining similar levels throughout the quarter.
