In Q2 2024, the Android basketball gaming scene in the US saw varied performances among top titles. Data from Sensor Tower reveals how these games fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
NBA Infinite - PvP Basketball from Level Infinite showcased a strong start in April with downloads peaking at roughly 3.7M and weekly active users reaching over 42K. However, both metrics saw a downward trend towards June, with downloads dropping to around 1.1M and active users declining to approximately 42K.
The veteran NBA 2K Mobile Basketball Game by 2K, Inc. maintained a steady performance with downloads hovering around the mid-300K mark and active users fluctuating between 1K and 1.2K. Revenue for the title was modest, reaching a peak of 41K USD in late May.
Another 2K, Inc. offering, NBA 2K24 MyTEAM, saw downloads and active users generally increase, with downloads jumping from 244K to 307K and active users rising from 783K to 1.2M. However, revenue was not a focus for this title as it hit zero several weeks throughout the quarter.
Miniclip.com's Basketball Stars: Multiplayer had a remarkable download peak in late May at over 5.1M, but like others, saw a decline by the end of June to around 2K. Active user count hit a high of 18.7K in late April but also dipped to approximately 12.9K by the quarter's end.
Lastly, NBA LIVE Mobile Basketball by ELECTRONIC ARTS dominated downloads with a peak of over 13M in mid-April. Its active users reached a high of 60K in the same month, but both metrics saw a decrease, with June downloads at around 5.2M and active users at approximately 40.5K.
