The second quarter of 2024 saw notable performance metrics for the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Europe. Here, we delve into the trends for Bolt: Request a Ride, Uber - Request a ride, Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery, BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus, and Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a steady increase in downloads, peaking at 223K in the last week of June. The weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting at 1.7M in early April and reaching nearly 2M by the end of June.
In the case of Uber - Request a ride, downloads increased from 154K in the first week of April to 210K by the last week of June. The app maintained a strong user base with weekly active users rising from 4.4M to 5.2M over the same period.
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery also showed positive trends. Downloads started at 156K and climbed to 183K by the end of the quarter. The app's weekly active users grew from 4.3M to 4.8M, indicating a solid user engagement.
For BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus, downloads fluctuated but ended on a high note with 102K in the final week of June. The weekly active users saw an overall upward trend, increasing from 667K to 759K throughout the quarter.
Lastly, Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had a more modest performance in terms of downloads, which varied between 40K and 50K. However, the weekly active users remained relatively stable, ranging from 355K to 370K.
