The car racing genre remains a staple in mobile gaming, and the second quarter of 2024 has seen considerable activity. Data provided by Sensor Tower sheds light on how the top five car games have fared in the US during this period.
Published by Hutch Games from the United Kingdom, F1 Clash saw a revenue increase from $33M at the start of April to $111M by late June. Downloads spiked significantly in early May, reaching nearly 830K before settling to 261K towards the end of June. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, with a peak of over 3M in mid-May, before stabilizing at around 2.2M active users by the quarter's end.
Jet Games FZ-LLC's Drive Zone Online exhibited a steady revenue climb from $73M to $103M across the quarter. Downloads peaked at over 5.3M in April, then gradually decreased to just under 2.9M by the end of June. Active users hit their highest at over 10.9K in late April, ending the quarter with a strong 9.1K weekly active users.
This game from Kazakhstan's olzhass saw revenues fluctuating, with an early April figure of $58M and reaching up to $94M in mid-June before closing the quarter at $80M. Downloads were most robust in late April at 2.4M, with a slight dip to 2M by June's end. Active users remained consistently high, with a peak of nearly 27.7K in late April and ending the quarter with 26.3K active users.
Chrome Valley Customs, from UK-based Space Ape, showed modest revenue figures that ranged from $30M at the beginning of April to a high of $49M in mid-June, before closing at $44M. Downloads started at 381K and saw a decrease to 216K by June's end. Active users saw a decline from 2K in early April to 783 by the last week of June.
AxesInMotion Racing of Spain's Extreme Car Driving Simulator had minimal revenues, starting at $4M and fluctuating slightly throughout the quarter, ending at $5M. Downloads saw a peak of 4M in mid-April, with a gentle reduction to 2.4M by the quarter's end. Weekly active users started at over 13.1K, peaked at 13.7K in mid-April, and concluded the quarter with 10.9K active users.
