In Q2 2024, the top five finance apps on the Android platform in Kenya showcased a variety of trends in weekly downloads and active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a detailed look at the performance of these popular applications.
M-PESA experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting strong with 178K in early April but declining to around 34K by mid-May. A recovery was seen towards the end of June, with downloads reaching 34K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around the 3.7M mark throughout the quarter.
LendPlus; Quick cash loans online in Kenya saw a consistent decline in weekly downloads from 84K in early April to 39K by late June. Despite this, the app maintained a steady base of active users, fluctuating between 425K and 461K over the quarter.
LOOP - Discover, Pay, Grow showed a notable drop in weekly downloads from 144K in the first week of April to just 16K by mid-June. However, the app's active user base displayed growth, peaking at 338K in the final week of June.
Zenka Loan App - Kenya had a relatively stable download rate, with numbers ranging from 33K to 41K throughout the quarter. The active user count also showed stability, with minor fluctuations around the 150K mark.
Zash Loan-Get loan instantly experienced a decrease in weekly downloads, starting at 84K in early April and dropping to 29K by late May. However, an upward trend was observed in June, with downloads climbing back to 34K. The active user trend was relatively stable, maintaining around 150K to 160K users.
