In the second quarter of 2024, the top five shopping apps on the Android platform in Egypt exhibited diverse trends in weekly downloads, active users, and revenue. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a detailed look at the performance of these leading apps.
Amazon Shopping, published by Amazon Mobile LLC, saw a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, peaking at around $2.1K in the last week of June. Weekly downloads showed significant activity, with the highest spike reaching over 110K in mid-April. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at 1.4M and ending slightly lower at 1.2M.
Alibaba.com - B2B marketplace, from Alibaba Mobile, did not generate revenue but experienced a steady download rate. Weekly downloads peaked at about 82K in mid-April. Active users saw a rise from approximately 520K in early April to over 615K by mid-June.
dubizzle EG OLX, published by Dubizzle Group Holdings Limited, maintained a consistent download rate, with a peak of nearly 59K in mid-June. The app's active user base grew from 280K at the start of the quarter to over 336K by the end of June.
noon Shopping, Food, Grocery saw stable weekly downloads, peaking at around 45K in early June. Despite no revenue data, the app's active user count showed a slight decline, starting at approximately 673K and ending at 566K by the end of the quarter.
SHEIN-Shopping Online, from Roadget Business PTE. LTD., did not report revenue but showed a varied download trend, with a peak of about 52K in mid-April. Active users started at around 321K, decreased to 271K by mid-June, and slightly recovered to 317K by the end of the quarter.
