In the second quarter of 2024, the virtual pet category on Android witnessed varied performances among the top applications in the United States. Our insights from Sensor Tower reveal the latest trends for these apps in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
My Cat - Virtual pet simulator by Appsyoulove saw a notable upward trend, with downloads peaking at 18.6M in the first week of June. Weekly active users followed suit, reaching a high of 51.7K during the same period. Revenue also displayed growth, closing at a substantial 1.2M USD by the end of June.
My Talking Tom Friends, developed by Outfit7 Limited, maintained a strong user base with weekly active users hovering around 300K to 380K throughout the quarter. Downloads were particularly strong in mid-June, hitting 31.8M. Revenue trends showed fluctuations but ended the quarter on a positive note with 48K USD in the last week.
Baby Panda World : Kids Games from BabyBus experienced a steady flow of engagement, with weekly active users ranging from 66.4K to 81.4K. The download count for the game saw a peak of 5.8M in mid-June, while revenues reached 39K USD in the same month.
Pet Pals, by PlayPals Games, did not record any downloads or weekly active users in Q2 2024, and revenue was negligible with only a brief appearance in April.
Pokémon Sleep, from The Pokémon Company, showed a downward trend in downloads, ending the quarter with just 48K in the last week of June. Active users remained consistent, with a slight decrease to 4.5K by the end of the quarter. Revenue saw a peak of 201K USD in late May but otherwise remained low.
