State of AI Apps Report 2025 is Live!
In the second quarter of 2024, the Utilities category on iOS in the UK saw varied performance among the top applications. Insights from Sensor Tower highlight the trends in downloads and active users for these leading apps.
Google maintained a steady influx of downloads, starting at 69K in the first week of April and peaking at 85K in mid-June. Weekly active users also showed a rising trend, from 2.75M to a high of 2.84M by the end of June.
The GOV.UK ID Check app followed a similar pattern, with downloads hovering around 42K in early April, surging to 51K in early June, and then slightly dropping to 48K by the quarter's close. Its active users steadily increased from 570K to 652K over the quarter.
Google Chrome witnessed a slight decline in downloads, from 46K in the first week of April to 39K by the end of June. However, weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight uptick from 3.03M to 3.03M.
Microsoft Edge: AI Browser experienced fluctuating download numbers, with a notable peak of 50K in early April. Revenue showed an increasing trend with minor fluctuations, ending the quarter at $245. Weekly active users saw growth from 1.06M to 1.3M, indicating a growing user base.
Lastly, Google Authenticator had a mixed quarter, with downloads starting at 20K, reaching a high of 31K in late April, then tapering off to 24K by the end of June. Active users showed a slight increase from 191K to 204K throughout the quarter.
