In the second quarter of 2024, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Peru showed varied trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here is a detailed look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.
During Q2 2024, Yango experienced consistent increases in both downloads and weekly active users. Downloads peaked at approximately 87.5K in the week of April 29 and then stabilized around 63K to 68K in June. Weekly active users also saw an upward trend, reaching a high of about 217K by the end of June. Revenue for Yango fluctuated slightly but generally remained low, peaking at $3K in the final week of April.
For inDrive, downloads showed a steady increase throughout the quarter, with a peak of approximately 71K in the last week of June. Weekly active users also demonstrated consistent growth, reaching around 779K by the end of June. Revenue data for inDrive was not available during this period.
DiDi Rider's downloads saw a significant uptick mid-quarter, particularly in early June, with a peak of about 22.5K. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 335K and 358K. Similar to inDrive, revenue data for DiDi Rider was not available for Q2 2024.
Uber's downloads remained consistent throughout the quarter, averaging around 13K to 14K per week. Weekly active users showed a slight but steady increase, peaking at approximately 884K in mid-June. Revenue data for Uber was not available during this period.
Cabify's downloads fluctuated throughout Q2, with a peak of around 10.7K in the first week of April and a low of about 7.3K in early June. Weekly active users also varied but ended the quarter on a positive note, reaching approximately 174K. As with several other apps, revenue data for Cabify was not available.
