In the second quarter of 2024, the top five food and diet tracking applications on a unified platform in Australia showed varied performance across downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the trends and usage of these apps.
Yuka - Food & Cosmetic Scanner saw its downloads fluctuate, peaking at around 14.6K in the week of April 8 and then tapering off to approximately 9.5K in mid-May before stabilizing around 11K towards the end of the quarter. Revenue for Yuka showed a downward trend initially, starting at $3.5K in early April and dropping to about $2.4K by mid-May. However, it recovered slightly, reaching around $3.3K by mid-June. Weekly active users for Yuka remained relatively stable, averaging around 42K to 47K throughout the quarter.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter experienced steady download numbers, ranging from 6.6K to 8.5K, with a noticeable increase in the last week of June. Revenue for MyFitnessPal remained strong, fluctuating between $110K and $125K weekly, peaking at $124K in late June. The app also maintained a high number of weekly active users, averaging around 295K to 320K, with a slight dip in early June before recovering.
Calorie Counter - MyNetDiary saw consistent download figures between 3.5K and 4.2K throughout the quarter. Revenue showed some variation, peaking at $9.3K in mid-April and then fluctuating between $7.5K and $9.1K. Weekly active users for MyNetDiary were stable, hovering around 20K to 22K during the quarter.
Evolt Active had a varied download performance, with numbers increasing from 2.1K at the start of April to a peak of 3.5K in early June. The weekly active users for Evolt Active showed a steady increase, starting at 18.6K at the beginning of the quarter and reaching over 20K by mid-June.
YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet experienced stable download figures, ranging from 2K to 2.7K, with a slight dip in late May. Revenue for YAZIO varied, starting at $6.5K in early April and declining to around $3.9K by mid-June. Weekly active users for YAZIO remained consistent, averaging around 9.8K to 10.5K.
