During the second quarter of 2024, the performance of the top 5 MMORPG applications in Germany showcased interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, reveals how these apps fared on a unified platform.
Tarisland from Level Infinite, which was released on June 20, 2024, saw its downloads decrease from 30K to 25K in the first week post-launch. Revenue, however, showed an upward trajectory, starting at approximately $32K and rising to $50K. Weekly active users dipped significantly from 22K to 12K within the same period.
Albion Online by Sandbox Interactive GmbH had a fluctuating revenue pattern, peaking at around $7.2K in early May but ending June with approximately $4.7K. Download trends mirrored this volatility, starting at about 2.8K in early April and dropping to 1.8K by the end of June. Weekly active users showed a general downward trend, decreasing from 5.5K to 5.6K over the quarter.
Diablo Immortal from Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. exhibited strong revenue performance, peaking at $156K in mid-June and settling at around $97K by the end of the quarter. Downloads were relatively stable, averaging around 3.5K per week. Weekly active users remained consistent, fluctuating slightly around the 33K mark.
The Legend of Neverland by Ark Games experienced a decline in both revenue and downloads. Revenue started at $23K in early April and decreased to $13K by the end of June. Downloads followed a similar pattern, dropping from 4.5K to 1.4K over the quarter. Weekly active users saw a gradual decline from about 16K to 12K.
Star Equestrian - Horse Ranch by Foxie Ventures LLC showed stable revenue, ranging between $1K and $2.6K throughout the quarter. Downloads increased from 2.4K in early April to 2.5K by the end of June. Weekly active users remained robust, consistently hovering around 36K.
