2026 State of Mobile is Live!

In the third quarter of 2024, the art and design category on the Android platform in Bahrain saw interesting trends among the top five applications. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, highlights how these apps performed in terms of downloads and revenue, offering insights into user engagement and monetization.
Canva: Design, Art & AI Editor by Canva, an Australian company, showed a remarkable increase in weekly downloads, reaching a peak of around 2.9K by the end of September. This growth was accompanied by a steady revenue stream, with a notable peak of approximately $561 in the week of September 23.
AR Drawing: Sketch, Art, Trace, developed by Color App Team, experienced fluctuations in downloads throughout the quarter. Starting with just 16 downloads in early July, it reached a high of 499 in mid-July, before stabilizing around 272 downloads by the end of September.
The Japanese app, ibis Paint X, maintained a consistent download pattern, with figures hovering around 200 to 290 throughout the quarter. Revenue for ibis Paint X was relatively low, peaking at $28 in the week of August 19.
AI Video - AI Video Generator from HubX, a Turkish publisher, saw a significant uptick in both downloads and revenue towards the end of the quarter. Downloads surged to 1.4K in mid-September, while revenue reached $145 in the week of September 23.
Lastly, AI Photo Editor: BG Remover by VTN Global App, experienced a decline in downloads after an initial peak of 362 at the end of July, dropping to single digits by the end of September. The app did not generate any revenue during this period.
