In the third quarter of 2024, the automotive app market on Android in Germany showcased varied performance trends among the top five applications. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps demonstrated distinctive patterns in weekly downloads and active user engagement.
mobile.de - car market maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads fluctuating around 20K, peaking at 24.9K in early August. The app also enjoyed a strong base of weekly active users, ranging from approximately 320K to 350K throughout the quarter.
AutoScout24: Buy & sell cars experienced a consistent level of weekly downloads, hovering around 17K to 19K. Its weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 229K and seeing minor fluctuations, ending the quarter just over 214K. Revenue displayed a modest but steady trend, with figures around $190 each week.
Shell saw weekly downloads ranging from 10K to 15K, with a notable spike to 15K in early September. Active users showed a gradual increase, climbing from 44K to over 53K by the end of the quarter.
EnBW mobility+: EV charging depicted an upward trajectory in weekly downloads, starting at 6.7K and reaching over 12K by late September. Active users also grew, from about 39K to 47K, indicating increased engagement with the app.
Lastly, ADAC Drive: Tanken Laden Route had a varied pattern in weekly downloads, peaking at 11.1K in July before declining to 2.6K by the end of the quarter. Despite these fluctuations, active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase towards the end of Q3, reaching approximately 36K.
