In the third quarter of 2024, the top auto applications on the Android platform in Ireland exhibited varying performance metrics, as reported by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the trends for each of these leading apps.
DoneDeal: Cars For Sale maintained a relatively stable download pattern throughout the quarter. Downloads fluctuated slightly, with a peak of around 1.3K in mid-August. The app also saw a consistent level of weekly active users, averaging around 14K to 15K, indicating steady engagement from its user base.
The Driver Theory Test Ireland DTT app experienced a diverse trend in downloads. It started the quarter with approximately 1K downloads, peaking at 1.3K in late August. Revenue showed a minor decline, starting at $201 and ending the quarter around $142, suggesting a slight drop in monetization over the period.
Carzone: New & Used Cars demonstrated a mixed download trend, beginning with 787 downloads and reaching a high of 1.2K by mid-August. However, the latter part of September saw a decrease, with downloads falling to 544, indicating a decline in new user acquisition towards the end of the quarter.
ecar connect saw its downloads peak at 349 in mid-August, but numbers gradually decreased towards the end of September, finishing with 232 downloads. This pattern suggests a waning interest or saturation in the market for the app.
Lastly, CarsIreland.ie reported a decrease in downloads over the quarter. Starting at 241 downloads, the app faced a gradual decline, reaching its lowest point of 149 in early September, before a slight recovery to 194 by the end of the month.
