In the third quarter of 2024, the Android communication app landscape in Bolivia was dominated by a handful of key players. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps showed varied performance in terms of downloads and revenue.
WhatsApp Messenger maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 60.5K in early August. However, a decline was observed towards the end of the quarter, with downloads dropping to approximately 27.3K by the last week of September.
Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. experienced fluctuating download numbers, starting at about 38.8K in early July and ending at roughly 25.7K in late September. Revenue for Messenger was minimal, with occasional spikes reaching up to $12 in the first week of July.
WhatsApp Business saw a consistent download trajectory, beginning at 27.2K and peaking at 41.8K in early August before tapering off to 28.3K by the end of September. The app's revenue showed notable growth at the end of the quarter, escalating to $89 in the final week.
Snapchat demonstrated a steady increase in revenue, reaching $65 by the end of September. Its download numbers were more variable, peaking at 30.3K in late July and then gradually decreasing to around 19.6K by the quarter's close.
Finally, Telegram showed significant revenue growth, peaking at $301 in late August. Weekly downloads for Telegram fluctuated, starting at 21.8K and concluding at about 18.4K by the end of the quarter.
