Throughout the third quarter of 2024, the performance of the leading communication apps in Denmark on the Android platform exhibited diverse trends in terms of downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, with a notable high of approximately $149 in early July, and closing the quarter at $98. Weekly downloads showed a gradual decline from about 2.9K at the start of the quarter to roughly 2.1K by the end. The app's weekly active users saw a steady decrease from around 344K to 329K over the same period.
WhatsApp Messenger maintained consistent weekly downloads, fluctuating between 1.8K and 2.6K. Weekly active users initially increased, reaching a peak of approximately 940K in mid-August, before declining to around 802K by the end of September.
mit.dk, developed by Netcompany A/S, saw its weekly downloads rise notably from 1K in early July to over 2.2K by late September. However, there is no data available for its weekly revenue or active users.
Telegram recorded a significant increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $1.3K at the end of the quarter. The downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 1.4K to 1.7K. The app's weekly active users showed slight fluctuations but remained close to 65K throughout the quarter.
Snapchat from Snap Inc. generated consistent weekly revenue, reaching approximately $4.5K by the end of September. Weekly downloads slightly decreased from 1.6K to about 1.4K, while the app's active users fluctuated, ending the quarter with around 336K.
