In the third quarter of 2024, the top consumer finance applications on the Android platform in Ghana demonstrated varied performance metrics in terms of downloads and active user engagement. Below, we delve into the specifics of each app based on data from Sensor Tower.
The GCB Mobile App saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, which peaked at approximately 17K in late August. The app maintained a strong presence with downloads consistently above 5K throughout most of the quarter.
Fidelity Mobile Banking experienced a stable download trend with a slight uptick in mid-September, reaching nearly 4K downloads. Active users remained relatively steady, fluctuating around 28K, indicating consistent user engagement.
The Ecobank Mobile App showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, peaking at over 3.2K in September. Weekly active users increased to approximately 19K by mid-September, reflecting a growth in user interaction over the quarter.
CBG MOBILE APP had a dynamic download pattern, starting with a peak of nearly 3K in early July, followed by a dip and a subsequent rise to over 1K by the end of September. This fluctuation indicates varied interest levels throughout the quarter.
Lastly, SC Mobile Ghana maintained a steady download rate early in the quarter, with a significant decline in mid-August. However, active users surged to over 74K in mid-September, marking a significant increase in user activity.
