During the third quarter of 2024, Central America's Android dating app market saw notable dynamics among the top five applications. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps exhibited diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date maintained a strong presence with weekly revenue peaking at around $49K in mid-September. The app's downloads experienced a dip in August, falling to approximately 39K, but later rebounded to over 54K by the end of September. Active user numbers remained robust, fluctuating between 1M and 1.1M throughout the quarter.
Kismia - Meet Singles Nearby saw a significant surge in downloads at the start of July, reaching about 73K. However, this number dropped sharply to around 21K by late August. The app's revenue remained relatively stable, hovering around $13K to $14K weekly. Active users also showed variability, peaking at close to 100K mid-July before settling around 75K by quarter's end.
Litmatch—Make new friends experienced a steady decline in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $4.5K and ending the quarter at around $2.7K. Downloads fluctuated, with a notable increase to nearly 29K in the final week of September. Active users saw a decline, dropping from about 271K at the start of July to 217K by the end of September.
Bumble Dating App: Meet & Date demonstrated consistent weekly revenue, mostly ranging from $31K to $35K. Downloads showed a downward trend from July's 30K to September's 24K. Despite this, active user engagement remained high, peaking at over 518K in mid-September.
Dating and Chat - iHappy had a varied quarter, with downloads initially high at 42K in mid-July, then dropping to around 12K in mid-September before surging to 48K by the end of the quarter. Its revenue remained minimal, while active users increased towards the end of the quarter, reaching approximately 64K.
